About this product

Brown De-Icing Salt 10kg (GRIT)

Icy paths outside entrances put staff and visitors at risk before the working day starts. Priority walking routes need treatment early on frosty mornings.

Caretakers spread it by hand or scoop across paths, entrances, yards and car park walkways on morning gritting rounds. The 10 kg bag carries enough for priority routes in one carry, and repeat passes follow as frost reforms.

The brown grit stays visible on the surface, which shows which stretches have been treated during checks. Wet floor signs mark slushy entrances while grit takes effect. Store bags off damp floors and spread ahead of forecast frost where the round allows.
